Newbie question about "Drive Space Critical"

hi everyone!

I'm having a newbie issue with my server.
I'm getting everyday a warning in my email telling "drive space critical": Drive Critical: /dev/vzfs (/) is 91% full

Going to the server i have this information:
root@forum [~]# df
Filesystem 1K-blocks Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/vzfs 10485760 9472340 1013420 91% /
simfs 10485760 9472340 1013420 91% /tmp
none 8236936 4 8236932 1% /dev
simfs 10485760 9472340 1013420 91% /var/tmp

From here i see that i have in /dev only 1% used and about 8gigs free....
how can i "send" some gigs from /dev to /dev/vzfs in order to stop this problem?

Thank you

You can't just "send gigs" - you would have to repartition the drive.

This can be done relatively easily using a live Gparted CD. Back up any valuable info first, then repartition with the live CD and you can resize partitions.
