newbie question
hello, here goes my first real question. I have an EeePC 900 series which has an SD card reader in it. I have now been able to load Ubuntu onto an sd card and boot from there however the question is... if I update it will it update to the sd card (4 Gig) or will it mount the internal SSD drive and mess up the factory install. I am new to this and don't want to screw up the EeePC. however I don't like the factory OS. also how do I know which drive I am on (sd card or internal SSD) Please advise Thanks sgtconvict

Well, obviously updates to an OS are going to update the OS files, nothing else.
Install gparted to get a graphical representation of your drives or use sudo fdisk -l from a terminal. |
