Newbie PS/2 keyboard question

Alright, i just got done installing Slackware 10 and it runs great and all but I have this little problem. Whenever I reboot, the PS/2 keyboard I have won't work! I have to plug in my friends USB keyboard to login, then like magic MY keyboard decides to work again after X is started. Strange. Anyone have any insight about this? I looked all over the forum but it seems this problem is just me. Thanks!
