newbie on help for cd.
 
i am using mandrke 10.0 KDE.

may i clear my doubt?

i have one cdrw.that has some read error.

how to find the location where the read error has occured..

if i fond the location of error.and then how to omit that location while copy to harddisk.

and how to copy the cd from 200MB to 550MB.

i mean copy the data from mid of the cd?

help me..

If I understand you correctly, everything you need to know is in the dd man page. You'll see how to skip a part of the input (or output), as well as how to copy only part of the input. But more importantly, you'll see how to ignore read errors: conv=noerror
