Newbie how to set up rt2500

This is a very newbie question, but I'm using Feather linux on a USB stick, and trying to get a rt2500 chipset (Linksys WMP54G v4.0) up and running, but I don't even know where to start. I've found a lot of information, but either I don't know what to look for or it doesn't tell me what I want to know. I've t tried NDIS wrapper using the original manufacturer disk, but it claims the .inf file is invalid (it works fine in WinXP) and I have no clue as to how to compile a kernel to include the rt2500 drivers (rt2500-1.1.0-b4.tar.gz). Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, all you need to do is go into the folder with the unzipped sources as root (from a terminal). Thengo into the Module folder, type 'make' (compiles the module) and then type 'make install' (installs the module). All you have to do then is to run 'modprobe rt2500'. Thats how it worked for me, using the USB version of the chip.
Of course, the other way is to read the readme and follow the instructions (I think they'll be same) :-)
