Linux From Scratch
please add this "linux distro" to the 50, makin 51.
is as far as i know LFS the latest and greatest if you want "a fully sourced LINUX based system" (absolutely fully, build chain included). if you want to run binaries, use the 50.
it's not "just another" linux distro with a quasi package installer installing only hacked apps ported to itself, ok. hopefully will not be made to be (ie, by monologue instructions that become wrong, is how it might become. yet to be seen.)
thank you!
--------------------
p.s. i'd say LFS is made by people who are sick of "distro admins hacking others code while preventing legit app source uploads and creating a pkg'ing system that leads away from fully sourced".
(ps i made my own lfs! i wont name drop though, and its lightweight and year 2010 based.)
Linux Kernel builds from scratch, why shouldn't your OS base too?
Arch isn't even on that list because it isn't very user friendly, you want to stick LFS... possibly the most user unfriendly distro out there on the beginner list?

yeah, and i'm so sick of people manufacturing cars instead of allowing me to mine the ore myself.
it's so patronising.
