Hi All,

Linux Newbie here.
I have been using windows for my entire career and in this new job i required to use Redhat. Any suggestion for me to start?
I know a very basic syntax but hope to get something to let me do a fast start.

there are a lot of tutorials available on the net, so you can choose what you prefer, but actually I would ask your employer to give some hints, what is important for you (in our company there are courses for beginners)

There are lots of material out there. I think a good basic introduction is http://www.tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/index.html. With this guide you can get used to navigating the system using the command line quite quickly. You can find the pdf or other format at http://www.tldp.org/guides.html.

Do you have something like [preferably] CentOS7 to play/experiment/learn on?

I agree with pan64; there's an enormous amt of info you could try to learn, but you should focus initially on relevant-to-your-job stuff first.
In any case, a having good competence with 'bash', the cli language is pretty much a given.

If you have been using Windows for years then all that you know is useful in linux. The names of the task tend to be different but the concept is almost always the same.
