Newb dual boot question

I already have Mandrake 9.1 installed on my laptop. It is the full partition, though. What would be the steps to dual booting this and windows XP? Thanks

i could be wrong about this but, i believe you need to install windows before you install linux. windows has to boot from c:, linux can boot from anywhere. you may be able to accomplish thish as long as you are able to install win to the primary patition. here is a link to some info about that.

good luck.

You do have to install Windows first... It likes to be the primary partition. If Mandrake's anything like SuSE (I think it is), it's pretty good about either letting you resize your Windows partition after Windows is installed. I know that SuSE even gives warnings re: "You're deleting your windows partition." It's also pretty good about plunking itself where it's meant to be. I would imagine, since Mandrake is also good for beginners, it's much the same way, or pretty similar.
