Post Newb ? - Create Quick Launch (Gnome)

I know how to do everything in this aspect *but*

How to use the command line.

I recently installed ymessenger, and am wondering about what kind of command line I would use.

Thank you, I know this must be often asked, but I have looked.

Welcome to LQ.

What exactly do you mean? You don't know how to get up a terminal/console from within Gnome? Or you don't know any commands to use when you're at the command prompt?

A little more info would be helpful.

I didn't know the command line for Ymessenger. It was ymessenger, but I thought I needed something special. Like /root/run/ymessenger.

It turned out to be simply ymessenger.

But now I forget how to make Launch terminals.
