Hi, I am novice in linux....but jumped right in !
I have a LVS with redwood servers. If i want to install lets say movabletype how do i go about it?

Sorry, Well what I want is help with getting my install files to my /home/xyz/ folder on the server.
I am on windows using shell (putty).

You can use either ftp or sftp to put your files on the server. I would recommend to use sftp. You can also install the SSH Secure shell client for workstations from http://www.ssh.com/support/downloads...ommercial.html
This is a GUI programme you could use.
