New windows installation doesn't set up profiles with samba server

Hi people, this is my first note here so...

As well as I see, I'm having problems with myselve (but not with Mr Hyde ;) )
I'm working into a network that have Red Hat 9.0 as server, with win98, nt and xp clients. Thats fine, but when I tried to reinstall some win98, windows don't load the samba profile.

Samba are fine (I think that because.... It work ok everywhere, but my new windows :P ).

So, I AM THE PROBLEM????

where do i fix that?

Thanks everyone who read this letter and all of you who waste time writing to me.

Im trying to not cry....(snif).

On the 9x boxes are you logging into a domain or just using workgroup?

If I remember from my mentor well enough, 9x will not drop login scripts or profiles unless it's authenticating to a PDC. If I am wrong please correct me :-p.

yes, i didn't say that every computer log into linux server as a pdc. Otherwise, they didn't work.
(At least, that I remember)

Really, those pc's log into smb domain and work autenticated.

Another idea?
thanks for your time, really
