New windows installation doesn't set up profiles with samba server
Hi people, this is my first note here so...
As well as I see, I'm having problems with myselve (but not with Mr Hyde ;) ) I'm working into a network that have Red Hat 9.0 as server, with win98, nt and xp clients. Thats fine, but when I tried to reinstall some win98, windows don't load the samba profile. Samba are fine (I think that because.... It work ok everywhere, but my new windows :P ). So, I AM THE PROBLEM???? where do i fix that? Thanks everyone who read this letter and all of you who waste time writing to me. Im trying to not cry....(snif). :newbie: :newbie: :newbie: |
On the 9x boxes are you logging into a domain or just using workgroup?
If I remember from my mentor well enough, 9x will not drop login scripts or profiles unless it's authenticating to a PDC. If I am wrong please correct me :-p. |
yes, i didn't say that every computer log into linux server as a pdc. Otherwise, they didn't work.
(At least, that I remember) Really, those pc's log into smb domain and work autenticated. Another idea? thanks for your time, really :newbie: :newbie: |
