I just got a ATI - All in wonder Radeon 7500 with 64mb, XP loves it but linux xf86config doesnt even have radeon drivers for it. I tried the all in wonder drivers but it was a no go. Anyone know what i can do to get my new card to work? Also i am slow is Slackeware 8.1 out yet and if is do you think if i upgraded it would fix my problem?
Slack 8.1 beta 2 is out but not the final 'release' as it would be. If the ati specific drivers don't work, you may be stuck using a genric svga driver. I have heard of some all-in-wonder pickiness and linux. Good luck all the same. Upgrading to the newest kernel MIGHT have an acceptable driver also.
well i tried everything else to upgarde it with these radeon patchs. I will wait for the slackeware 8.1 final comes out then i will be able to get back into linux I hope thanks thou. O i tried that generic it gave me a killer error. lol
