New Ubuntu Installation over several Hard drives

Hey guys,

I'm trying to setup a web/file server for my personal use, and I have 3 300Gb HD's that I want to setup using LVM.

I'm choosing LVM since I can resize the partitions later when all the storage is filled up by adding on additional drives and (I believe) will still keep the file system in order.

My issue is, I'm trying to install ubuntu server with the LVM format option with the 3 drives, but I don't know how to exactly go about doing it. I've tried installing the server many times trying different things out, but I don't think any of it is working.

Can someone advise me on how to set this up or is there a simpler way to this madness?

Thanks,
Wasabio

Have you tried the LVM-HOWTO?

I've actually searched for ubuntu LVM how-to's and i can't seem to find any good ones. I've found a debian LVM-how-to, but I'm not really sure how to apply that to the ubuntu version of the installation.

Thanks
