Click on link above

Click on Installation instructions for tar.gz

Slackware is a tgz based OS.

Note: This will install flash player for mozilla. If you want to use firefox instead, during the installation it will display the default path.

Enter /usr/lib/firefox as the new path.

Note: You need to be root to write to other directories.

Then proceed with installation.

To check if it was install correctly. open firefox and in the url type

Code:

about:plugins
Download flash here http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and select tar.gz for linux from drop down menu.

- Good luck

Actually a better way is to use the Slackbuild script at Slackbuilds.org. There are scripts for both the stand-alone flash player and the plugin that works with Mozilla browsers. The slackbuild scripts will create a .tgz file for you in /tmp that you can then install with the normal Slackware package tools.

If you're interested in building more of the packages at Slackbuilds.org, check out the sbopkg tool. It can make using Slackbuilds a complete breeze.
