new to lq and have an Ubuntu question

Hello all!! I am fairly new to Linux, as far as coding and such, and have Ubuntu 11.10 installed and was wondering if there is an easy way to get the programs from Ubuntu studio 11.10 installed but still keep the look and feel of the home Ubuntu 11.10....I did an upgrade from the studio DVD but it did not install the audio and video applications which is what I am trying to do. Any help?
