Strange suggestions. Either debian, knoppix or ubuntu represent exactly the same hassle: apt-get install whatever. They are all relatives.

Sabayon -on the contrary- is Gentoo based, maybe slightly easier to administer, but I wouldn't ever say that Sabayon is less hassle than Debian unless all you plan to do is to look at the nice desktop of the livecd. It certainly doesn't fit in the same category than the three above do.
