new to linux.. some questions for experienced users.
 

i`ve always used windows and learned a little c++ and vb, and i`m ready to try linux. right now i`ve got slax downloaded and i like it. i really don`t know what i`m doing yet though.

can anyone recommend some books for me to read, to learn the basics of using linux and also basic programming in linux. thanks.

I'm using Suse and I understood a lot more after reading this book. Ok the Graphical interface is different but the basics and commands are all the same
