new to linux need some advise

Hello I just bought a new computer from a HS friend and I am having trouble getting to my girlfriends Hotmail account. Also I have a special software package and it will load on Linux system. Is there anyone out there that could help? please advise and thanks. mike

Linux is not window, you cannot install windows programs on Linux, you got a find an equivalent or research a program called wine to run windows programs on Linux.

hotmail is that not a web based email like google login web browser check mail thing?

Why can't you access your girlfriend's Hotmail account. Does she want you to? What errors are you receiving? What Linux distribution are you running, both name and version?

I stopped using hotmail ( it was web page accessible) when they deiced to make people pay for it, then deleted everyone's accounts then little while later made it free again... hotmail ...
