I have another problem

Having recently bought my young daughter an Apple Mac PPC G3, I would like to run Linux on it, after searching around, I've been told the best idea is to put SuSE Liux PPC 7.1 on there, (SuSE because that's what I'm used to).

Is this ok? Accodring to the supported hardware list, I should be able to run SuSE 10.1 on there, which would be much more preferable.

Any suggestions would be most helpful.

Damian.Star,

You can try Ubuntu. They have a version for Mac.

http://www.ubuntu.com/download

Select the location nearest to you and then, download the ISO file for powerpc.

Thanks, Kirtimaan

ok, so far so good, but before I sling my pc outta the window....

I've got my phone paired, and aparently connected to rfcomm0:

damianstar@server:~> rfcomm connect 0 08:00:28:F5:B8:C3
Connected /dev/rfcomm0 to 08:00:28:F5:B8:C3 on channel 1
Press CTRL-C for hangup

But I'm buggered if I know what to do with it! kmobiletools still don't see it "An error occurred while initialising the phone device".

bleedin nightmare!!
