New to CVS

I want to install and configure cvs on my test machine (RHAS4 update 4)

Keeping in mind that i am new to cvs, could anyone guide me with any step by step doc or a good reference site, that will help me install and do simple configuration and testing , just to get familiar.

Appreciate your time.

Thankyou

Here's a howto on cvs: http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-HOWTO/CVS-RCS-HOWTO.html.

Hi.

For installation, I suggest the package manager of your distribution, rpm, apt-get, yast, etc.

For use, another source is: http://cvsbook.red-bean.com/, also available in book form.

Note that many developers have shifted from cvs to subversion, about which you can read more at: http://subversion.tigris.org/.

Best wishes ... cheers, makyo
