hello guys,
i am totally new to this,could you people please suggest good tutorial sites for me as a beginner. There are many sites and i am confused!

what is the first thing you want to learn to do in Linux/GNU? the net is swamped with how to's for just about everything to do with Linux/GNU

For instance if you want to learn how to use Desktop Linux as a replacement for Windows. If you want to learn how to program withing Linux. If you want to become a system administrator. Etc.
