i have win98 (for game ) and redhat 9.0 ......i want to get gentoo without removing the win98.....can i use redhat linux existing part ....i read the manual of gentoo ..but it not help on that
Just follow the instructions on the gentoo documentation. I installed Gentoo once, and the documentation on installation is easy to follow... However, there's not much in Gentoo that made me want to leave my beloved Slackware

in documentation ......assuming the partion is primary ......its in hda logical partion (in my hda) and its hda9 for root ,hda8 for linux hda10 for swap .....in the step :
#emerge sys-kernel/gentoo-sources
error message
in
# cd /usr/src/linux
there is no linux file
# make menuconfig
i not anderstand what is it
help ..... please give my steps to installation
