New Mandrake 8.1 install partition question..
 

I'm looking to install Mandrake 8.1 as part of a multiboot system. Which is set up as follows:
C: Win Me
D: Win 2K
E: Nothing yet (Formated fat 32, going to be XP Pro)
F: Shared windows programs (netscape, AOL, ect)
G: Nothing (Unformated 8 gig, for Linux)

Two questions:

1) Can I just run Mandrake setup and repartition the G: (into a swap and a root, etc) without hurting my other drives or losing data using DiskDrake?

2) When I run disk drake how many partitions to I make, what do I call them, and how big should they be (Swap 2 gig? ...)?

swap is usually twice the size of your ram size.. or no larger than 125 megs... anything more is usually unused and wasted hard drive space..
you can go with the limit of just a swap and / partition. no problem in installing it that way.
