Hello Guys,

LINUX Openings in NJ....!

Location ; New Jersy

Lead Linux Administrator/Programmer

As lead Linux Administrator in a software engineering development
group, primary tasking will be in the configuration and
maintenance of Linux servers/workstations for the development
group. Secondary tasks include software programming when required.
Selected individual will also participate as an active member on
major Linux-based development and migration projects.
Requires a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics,
Physics, EE, or closely related field.

Linux certification is a MUST.

Requires five or more years of professional experience in Linux
systems administration and software programming.

Position will require administration, hardware/software
maintenance, data backup, network support, and troubleshooting of
Linux servers/workstations supporting technical programs.

Duties include interfacing directly with vendor to maintain
support contracts and technical support, and ensuring third-party
application software is installed correctly and maintenance levels
are current. Strong inter-personal, teamwork, and communication
skills required.

Experience in performing kernel construction, modifications,
enhancements, and automated software builds required. Experience
in creation and distribution of vendor package manager across
development group to include OS upgrades, apply/test OS patches,
and planning hardware upgrades is required. Tracking, evaluating,
and integrating developments from the open source community will
be required.
Position requires knowledge of principles of network protocols,
routing, and network-wide file systems. Strong knowledge and
experience in network security and services such as HTTP, DNS,
FTP, and NFS is required. Must be accomplished at writing Perl,
PHP, shell and kickstart scripts to automate advanced
administrative and repetitive tasks.
Linux system-level programming with C/C++, OpenGL, GTK, and
wxWindows cross-platform GUI library desired.

Experience with distributed computing, object-oriented
programming, and user interface development desired. Familiarity
with CMM/CMMI a plus.
