Question New Linux on laptop


I want to change my system to Linux with a new harddrive in my laptop
I got a 2. Computer with vista.
I don't want any windows on my laptop.
What linux do I use how do I get li ux on my laptop?
Any help please?!

yes, its good to move on linux system, Its more stable and secure.
if you have Internet connection, you can download nay iso image of any distro.
and can be write on the CD, this would be bootable CD and install the Linux on the system.

there are so many other ways to install any linux. through GUI its vary easy to install as desktop, but for enterprise it require some planning steps.

I would say you are likely going to be looking at most typically seeing Fedora and Ubuntu come up, but there are others and sites that review them more in depth then people will here, thus why I suggest you check out the link. There are alternatives to Fedora and Ubuntu as well, Mandriva being one I could name... most people generally use Fedora or Ubuntu so that's what I expect to see mainly quoted here.
