Question New installation of Arch in Virtualbox, not a virtualization question (2 errors)

Hi, I did do some research on this, but I was not able to find sufficient information to put me at ease.

I get 2 error messages during bootup after a fresh installation of Arch Linux in Virtualbox.

From what I found, was that in most cases these are safe to ignore errors. In part because Virtualization software eliminates any physical hardware problems.

However, I am still new to Linux, and I want to be complete in understanding what I am doing.

So here are my 2 error messages and then my questions.

[1]
intel_rapl: no valid rapl domains found in package 0

[2]
piix4_smbus 0000:00:07.0: SMBus base address uninitialized - upgrade BIOS or use force_addr=0xaddr

Ok, so for error 1, I'm not sure what to do, but there certainly has to be a workaround so the error does not show up. I mean a complete workaround and not just cancelling out error messages. So if someone can help me with this, thank you.
As for error 2, there seems to be an answer. Since it's a Virtual machine, I can not upgrade the BIOS. So instead, how do I use force_addr=0xaddr and what exactly does that do.

If I can solve these 2 problems, then there are no other boot errors, so it's a great start. Any help with this would be nice.

Well for question 1 the top response I found here on searching gives the good advice that if you
do not have need of that module, which you do not or it would not appear, then placing it in /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf would be good advice.

As for number 2, the force_addr=0xaddr would need to be added to grub so your kernel would get the message. Been a while since I played with grub but you either need to edit /etc/default/grub
or one of the files under /etc/grub.d. I'm sure a little searching on the net will tell you

For number 2, disabling i2c_piix4 module worked. In case you don't know how:

lsmod | grep i2c_piix4

should display a result. If not, it's not enabled and don't know how to help you. If yes, do a:

nano /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist

and add:

blaclist i2c_piix4

Done! Hope it helps

I read to do this, I just looked it up because I too am getting that error on my VB,
Code:
Turn off the option "Enable Nested Paging" in the VirtualBox configuration under Settings->System->Acceleration.
I am currently installing UBuntututu on VB so I have not been able to test it.

QUESTION TO YOU..

what steps did you take to get ARCH on VirtualBox?
