new instal suse 9.1 set up internet
 

I just installed SUSE 9.1 and i cant get the internet to connect. I tried to configure the modem in YARIST (I think thats what its called). I don't understand it though. I don't even get a dial up sound. It recognizes my modem, but past that I'm not sure. I use MSN as my main dial-up connection. I don't understand IP address and such. If possible I need a step by step instruction on how to set up my connection.

Try YAsT, Security and Users - Firewall and Security settings, youll see what to do. Hope this helps you.

I tried it that way and at least it will try to connect now but it comes up with a error and disconnects itself. loggoff error or code 8.
