New in linux


I am new at linux system. I need help to complrte my pc with programs such as Pdf converter, oficce word, antivirus etc. The english is not my first language. Thanks.

There are several databases on the net which show open source alternatives to proprietary software.

One I usually recommend is osalt.com.

Hi bejobizhga,welcometo LQ.

You can use openoffice in your linux and converting docs to pdf is in that also.

You dont need any antivirus in linux as its a secure OS.
