New driver was installed but Sax2 disagrees

After a lot of grief, I finally got the 3D drivers for the graphics card installed. The new drivers appear to work properly but I wonder if everything is OK. Sax2 still says that the old ( and incorrect) driver is installed. However, There are configuration tools from ATI that say that the new driver has been installed and is working. From my observations, I believe that they are indeed the drivers being used. When I reprobe (I don't make any changes , I just reprobe) Sax2 my card is a AITR350 NH and 3D graphics are not supported. The list of graphics cards that are recognized by Sax2 does not include my graphics card. The list stops at the Radeon 9700 and I have a Radeon 9800. Sax2 is obviously wrong. Will this disagreement prove to be problematic?

Probably not. It is my considered and oft argued opinion that Sax2 is a PoS and causes far more grief than it cures. SuSe won't even guarantee that 2D graphics work let alone 3D so you'll get no help there even if you paid for your SuSe.
Trust the evidence of your eyes and cast about for a distro better suited to a PC user :-)
