New distro

I am considering moving to a new distro for my laptop. Dell Inspiron 1500 (2003 mfd) has a Pentium 4 chip. I currently run Ubuntu on it, I was thinking about Mint OS. Does any one know if it has a touchpad mouse config built in to the distro or will i need to build one myself. As well, I am looking for compatibility with my Belkin Wireless card. Any help/info you have about this (Mint) OS is appreciated.

Isn't Mint just a derivative of Ubuntu? If so, it should have that built in.

May I suggest that you check the Mint harware Compatibility List and goolge or search the LQ forums and howtoforge and other howtosites.
