New COBY Monitor and I have a black strip on the right of my screen

I connected the 42" COBY monitor but now I have about a 1/15 of the screen black strip on the right, like the screen is shifted to the left that much, which it is because I can't see the Linux toolbar on the left or the "file" section at the top left. I've tried shutting it down and restarting it several times because that worked with my previous monitor, but no luck. Anyone know how to help? Thank you.
