Network problem on Suse 9.1 (mobo Asus P4C800 dlx with 3com 940

First of all I don't have any experience with Linux. I decided to try Suse 9.1 as i believe it will be a suitable distro for a like me. I' ve downloaded the image of the boot CD from an ftp mirror and and used it to boot my computer.

When i try to install it (from ftp) i get the message that there is no network detected (or sth like this). What should i do?
