Network parameters not save under Debian

Hi everybody,
i have a probleme with my network card configuration.
I run with KDE and i have to reconfigure each time i boot my network parameters.
If i want to run fluxbox, and if i change the parameters in the /etc/network/interfaces, what must i do if i want that the changes take effects immediatly, must i reboot?

What do you mean with network parameters?

Just do /etc/init.d/networking restart.
Do not forget to add eth0 to the auto section of /etc/network/interfaces otherwise it won't be configured neither during startup nor by ifup -a.

BTW: There's no difference in the network configuration independent of the used wm / desktop.
