Network Management asks me the password three times and then fails to connect.

Hi I am using Kubuntu 9.04 fully updated, i used the Network Management to connect to my home wireless network, I enter the password in the prompted window, the same window reappears but with the password text box empty, I re-enter it, the same occurs, I re-enter it again and as soon i press the 'Ok' button, the wireless connection fails. I changed my security from wpa-psk to Wep, the same thing happens. I tried to install Kubuntu 9.04 on another computer, the same occurs. Am I alone who having this problem or the network management from Kubuntu 9.04 is really bad? I am seriously thinking of returning on windows now, so please someone help me because i'm fallin to the dark side.

About NetworkManager

I, I am currently using Ubuntu 9.04 and I had a similar Issue, Is there a checkBox that let you see the passphrase you are entering?
I know that I always entered it well but whenever I do it without checking this checkbox It prompts again for the pass ( Showing lots of "asterisks" representing the hex of the passphrase ). If I enter the passphrase with the checkBox checked It works.
An alternative that I used before realicing that I needed the checked CheckBox is wpasupplicant.
http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/WPA_Supplicant
Good Luck.
Edit:
If you use wpa_supplicant, first pkill NetworkManager
