Please make sure that your network status is active then check your Firewall Settings whether its Enabled or not.. If its enabled we cant access internet.. so check your firewall settings and make sure that firewall setting is Disabled... Hope it will helps you ! Regards Bala.Linuxtech |
You should check the IP-configuration. In Linux with ifconfig, in Windows with ipconfig.
Which type of networkconnection did you configure for the VM? Bridged or NAT? Markus |
Hello Markus.
Hope you are doing well. and i have also checked the network connection on window, and i am was using internet with the help of bridge networking, but the thing is sometime it works properly, but sometime it stop working... |
Maybe you should post the output of ifconfig (Linux) and ipconfig /all (Windows) here. When you use a bridge, both interfaces must have IP-adress in the same subnet.
It would also be good if you posted here the output of Code:
cat /etc/resolv.conf Markus |

Hello Markus, and bala.linuxtech
Markus please check the screenshot...and bala sir i have stop the firewall services.but problem is still continue..any advice.. |
The IP-addresses of the Windows machine and the Linux machine are not in the same subnet. There's something wrong with your bridge. The LInuxcomputer should be in one of the 192.168.xxx.xxx subnets of the Windowsmachine.

markush sorry to say that, but i did not get you properly.
One line i want to add. i am using internet with the help of DHCP,so how come it is possible that subnet mass must be same... |
Bridged Network means that you have a bridge between one of you Host's NICs and the NIC of your VM. This means that the VM uses the same DHCP server as the Windowscomputer (with this NIC).

Check via route command too where your traffic routes.

hey friends,
Thanks for your support, there might be some network problem in My PC after restarting my pc number of time.now i am connected with internet...again thanks a lots all of you for teaching me some new things.... |
Well, no I've some time for an explanation,
Your Windows-computer has three network-adapters (NIC). Probably one has a public IP-adress (you should for security not post this IP in a forum!), the other two are in two different subnets of your local network. The local networkadresses are 192.168.184.0/24 and 192.168.17.0/24. One of the these two NICs is configured for the bridge. Are you sure that this is the one with the DHCP server? Markus |
Actually i have only one NIC card in my window Pc and ip adress of my window pc is 122.176.x.x..
Other two are Vimware network.but not in use. Yes markash both are DHCP address, but when i check my Linux machine,it show me different IP adress...??????????? |
