Network icon


I have linpus linux lite on my new aspire one netbook.I bought it three months ago and before some days the network icon has disappeared.I tried to run it from the settings, but nothing happened.I also saw that the net files are all deleted...Can anyone help me...????thanks...!!!!

Hello bill1994, welcome to LQ,

unfortunately Linpus is an outdated version of Linux. Linpus is only available preinstalled and noone would install it on his/her computer, so it is difficult to help you.

Long story short, you'd be better off to install a modern fullfeatured Linuxdistribution on the computer. Look at Ubuntu (they have a special Netbookedition) or Mint
