Network Error in Fedora 13 Beta?


Whenever I am starting network in fedora 13 Beta it reports this error:

[root@fedora-13 ~]# service network restart
Shutting down interface eth0:  Error org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name com.redhat.ifcfgrh1 was not provided by any .service files
Error: Device 'eth0' (/org/freedesktop/NetworkManager/Devices/0) disconnecting failed: Cannot disconnect an inactive device.
                                                           [FAILED]

Any idea whats could be the issue?

You don't say anything about your hardware, but chances are the Beta release has alot to do with it. Beta still has lots of bugs, and things often don't work right. If it's a new installation, I'd install FC12, and see if the problem goes away, then upgrade to 13 when it's released.

why are you using the beta version of fedora
if you do not already KNOW how how to fix this !!!

the beta version only MOSTLY works on the developers machines . so unless you have the exact same equipment
do not expect it to work correctly.

well..I am a Guest Operating System(GOS) Validation Tester and came across this issue while I started testing with Fedora 13 Beta day before yesterday.So I cant skip it

I could see someone filed the same bug https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug...iple&id=580803 and yet seems that it has not been fixed. I too tried running it on ESX VM with both default and e1000 network adapter.
