I was wondering if anybody knows if this will work on ubuntu and how difficult it would be to install. I am very new to linux!
Thankyou.

Hello, welcome to LQ :)

Normally Linux should detect the hardware when you build it into your computer. I've read that it needs Linux kernel 2.6 minimum. Recent Linux versions run on 3.xx, so that shouldn't be a problem.

When it comes to setting it up in Linux. From my experience with Linux Mint (which is based on Ubuntu) it is very straightforward and similar to how it goes in Windows.

And according to the site you've linked they officially support Ubuntu. So I think it's fair to say it will work :)

I'd agree that it should work. The web site, http://www.asus.com/Networking/PCEN1...Desk_Download/ offers some support if your distro doesn't fully support it.

You will have to learn some things. Generally wireless on linux is slightly harder.

Install the card and then load on the OS and then see how far it gets. Ubuntu has many how to pages for this subject.
