Network Adapter driver

Hi

I have a not-so-common network adapter hardware, and the driver CD supplied with it has drivers in the formats TAR+GZIP(UNDER LINUX) and TAR(under UNIXWARE) . Is it possible to convert this to RPM or dpkg format ? I mean will i be able to use the same drivers on any other distro except slack ?

Move the tar file into a directory untar it and cd into the new directory, then there should be a README file in it. cat the file and it should have the install instructions for you.

NOTE: You don't have to use .deb or .rpm files to install apps, it's just better to use the Package Manager as it takes care of the dependencies.
