Netstat -platunec ........What is the avahi-daemon?
hello LQ
I am new to this site and hoping to get some help from time to time with linux
A friend of mine advised me that if i wanted to get into the sys admin game a good
place to start would be getting an RHCE cert so thats what Im at
I have lots of spare time
Been at this now since August 09 and my friend set me up with VMware and various
Operating systems including RHEL5 server i386 on my macbook
Hes a good friend
Im nearly through the Michael Chang Book and video
The start was very hard as I never even heard of linux before
A baptism of fire
Im giving myself a year to try for the RHCE
The itunes U has been a great help
the tulio llosa series are great
I would highly recommend them
And there free
Can I install itunes on Linux?
Anyway my first Q is what is avahi-daemon which I see when Im monitoring ports and connections Michael Chang dosent mention it?
man avahi says no entry
Thanks
