netscape,mozilla j2re j2sdk issues please help me!!

ive installed the java files: j2re-1_4_1_03-fcs-linux-i586.rpm, j2sdk-1.4.2-nb-3.5-bin-linux.bin. into /usr/local, ive also installed netscape 7.1 and mozilla 1.4 into this directory but being that im not a java writer or developer or whatever, i dont know what these java installations have done to update my browsing capabilities.
i noticed that netscape 7.1 comes with flash player 6 which is cool but its another thing that i dont know is enabled.
i tried to play alchemy on netscape (channels.netscape.com/ns/games/default.jsp)
but the window where the game should load up on never gets passed the "Loading Please Wait" status.
i launched network analizer and it shows that there was no data being transferred to or from my box. can linux play those little java online games like alchemy or stuff from popcap.com or yahoo/games.
im intrested in this, i dont use wontdows xp(the p should stand for pirated cause i dont know anyone who's ever purchased it) i knew i was passed windows when i would come home from work and be greated by a pop up on my desktop stating that i could obtain a university diploma with an ok button at the bottom or a dialog box asking me if my penis was small with a yes button and an inaccessible no button at the bottm

did you drop the plugin in to the mozilla /netscape dir ?

ln -s /path/to/java/plugin/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/local/mozilla/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so

In the address bar on the browser type "about:plugins" this will tell you if you have correctly loaded the plugin.

Hope helps

cheers to you, good friend gbarny.
it seems that in my attempt to make my webbrowser appx/java ready
i had spread several versions of java redundantly all over my filesystem. that ln -s command did the trick after i found the correct version of java to link to.
when i was done i checked the "about plugings" on my netscape help section and it dispayed a huge list of java stuff mainly the applicationx/java which is what i was looking for.
now im off to try this same procedure on mozilla 1.4, and firebird.
is it pssible to do this for konquerer as well.
i can never find the target directory for konquerer.
thanks for everything.
