netinstalling Debian - how to configure?

hi, Linux newbie here. I'm trying to do a net-install of Debian. I'm running into a problem when configuring the network settings - I need to get online to download the rest of Debian.. but I can't seem to get the configuration right. I'm on a wireless network using a D-link USB wireless device.

How does one configure the network settings after the base has been installed without reinstalling Debian? I'm clueless. Any hints?

I dont know if the dlink adapter has a native linux support.. but I doubt it :) you will need to either use a standard network card.. or download ndiswrapper and get the wireless card going first.
