Netgear WG311T wireless card stalls boot up

My new Debian-502-AMD64 is running properly. When I put in my Netgear WG311T wireless card, and boot. It stalls at this point:

waiting for /dev to populate...

This card works properly in my Debian 4.0 AMD64 in another desktop of mine.

I tried another pci slot, same thing happened.

Any ideas?

If it is setup for dhcp, it will wait until it receives an ip or times out.

Thanks. I don't think it times out, because I had let it sat there for an hour. Also, this card uses Madwifi driver and I have not configured it yet. Is there anything else I can do?
