Need to uninstall ubuntu but can't do it in xp
Alright so yes I love ubuntu that's not why I need to uninstall it. The problem is that I don't know the virtual drive it installed to because I installed it through Windows XP so dual booting. But now my Windows XP is infected with a pain in the ass virus. It does not let you open any application besides internet browers. I can not access Safe Mode either. So is there a way I can uninstall Ubuntu inside ubuntu? Since well like I said its impossible to do it on XP. I need all this done so I can wipe and reload XP to professional. The boot CD won't work for some reason with the second dual booted Ubuntu. So any help guys with this?
Update Alright so to be specific with Ubuntu my computer wont boot the XP OS disk. Which means that I can not reinstall I have the feeling if I uninstall Ubuntu it will work because everytime I try booting a XP cd it goes to the select OS screen. But when I boot a ubuntu CD or install disk it will go directly to it. |
ubuntu live disk, and reformat.

I need more details. I have the original install disk can I have link for that live disk and if so how will i do it?

Use the Ubuntu disk to wipe out all your partitions, then reboot. Do you see the message press any key to boot to the Windows CD, I have had it where it did not show it for one reason or another, then the default it to boot to hard drive. I could press a button, and even though I could not see it, I could boot to it.

When you boot from the ubuntu disk it gives a try ubuntu option, choose that. then it looks just like your regular ubuntu and you can goto administration and the partition editor like Gparted and then you can reformat each of the separate partitions. Hope that works.

Alright I know what you are talking about, no it does not give me that option but I have tried going into f12 and booting it from that way which works with ubuntu. Now once I am running ubuntu that way how do I delete it? Administration? I need more steps sorry kind of noobish.
