Need to remove virus {JS:ScriptsSH-inf[Trj]}

I running 8.04; Virus scan with AVAST! reveals virus {JS: ScriptsSH-inf[Trj]}; removal attempts fail! It is in my /var/lib/clamav/daily-inf/daily.nbh file; I haven't had a virus before and need guidance in removing it. - Thanks -patrickgpg [A Newbie! First Posting]

It seems to me that you are having a false positive. That file apears to be the virus definitions for clamav or something. I may be wrong :-P

So it seems to me as well. But it's also possible that it's some subterfuge (in the hope that we think it's a false positive and ignore it). But I don't think it's very likely. However, I suggest booting from an environment that you know it's clean for sure (i.e. a livecd) and check with clamav or any other AV.
