If its winxp, I'm sure booting from the xp disk gives options for repairs.
Then xp has tools for deleted partitions in Settings/Control Panel/Administritive Tools/Computer Managements/Disk Management.

But then I might be wrong, I frequently am!

In Windows XP (You did not mention which Windows), go to control panel when logged in as administrator and select Performance and Maintenance/Administrative Tools/Computer Management and select Disk Management on the left under Storage. In the top right pane, highlight the partition(s) you want to remove (one at a time) and delete it.
Under the view menu is a help icon, click on it and select Disk Management/How to/Manage Basic Volumes/Extend a basic volume, to see how to absorb the free space into Windows.

It does. If you boot from the XP install CD, you'll be given the option to Install or Repair. Press R, and you'll be taken to the XP recovery console. From there, select your Windows partition, type "fixmbr", push Y then reboot. This will restore the original Windows MBR. Then you can deal with the ex-Linux partition from within Windows, like drudge says.
