Need to Communicate w/Mint Cinnamon User

I have installed Mint 18.2 Cinnamon on an older laptop. Basically (very basic) works ok but I really do need to communicate directly with an experienced user of this this distro to help with specific issues. my email is sojen1 at gmail dot com

That's not how this site works. You post a specific question and if someone knows the answer they reply.

Using email communication would prevent others from seeing your questions and the responses to same. The idea is that if they're stored here in this forum someone in future might solve their issue without having to ask a question.

So I'm wondering if you've actually tried to look up your question(s) before posting?

oooops,,,sorry. one specific question,,,I have just loaded the pics I had on windows, onto the Mint Cinnamon 18.2. Some of the pics (a few) show up as thumbnails,,,most are displayed as "titles" in panel to the left. Is there a way to get all the pics to show as thumbnails?

Appears to have a relevant discussion which might be a good read for you. From that:

There is also an Alt-Tab selection in the Windows control. There you can select the kind of window selection display you get, from a simple list of only the icons, or a list of thumbnails and icons, or even a couple of different 3D window-flip displays.
