hai...i want some questions for students team home assignments on linux distributions,installation,desktops.the question should be on real time applications and it should be long question should be descriptive and brain teasing.please help me as fast as possible.

what distributions are best suited for server use, and which are better left to desktop use, does life span of distro play a part in your decision, is so why or why not?
