need simple help in using verizon usb broadband modem

hello very new newbie today first day to see ubuntu
downloaded with windows to dual boot
need to know how to set up internet connection using verizon broadband usb modem

the simpler the better as im not used to it yet

What exact modem are you using? We need the model number of the device in order to further troubleshoot your issue. Alternatively, after inserted, run the following command in a terminal, and copy/paste the output for us, using code tags:
