Need help with utorrent on linux server
Hi, I'm new to the forums and to linux so I wasn't sure where to ask this, but here goes.
I have Fedora 8 OS. Installed fluxbox and a user to access vnc other than root. Use xterm to download utorrent. Use wine to open utorrent and run it. Set up uTorrent webui a month ago and everything was working great. Two days ago the buttons in my webui went missing and the genius that I was, typed in reboot on root. Big mistake because I can't even open uTorrent webui anymore. Now I'm getting these errors in the xterm window that I use to open uTorrent through wine. I'm not sure if these errors are related to the uTorrent webui business but here they are. Code:
WARNING: Trying to create a socket of type SOCK_RAW, this will fail unless you have special permissions. Code:
err:iphlpapi:getNumWithOneHeader Unable to open '/proc/net/route' to count entries! |
Hiya
Better off asking the Wine lot really. It seems silly to use a Linux box to run a Windows app and access it via web. Personally I'd grab a Linux web-admin torrent system (they are out there a plenty!). As for your error, what happens if you try and run it direct on the box and not through vnc? Does it start? |
No it doesn't work.
And thanks for your reply, I will post it over on the wine boards. If it doesn't work I might try rtorrent. |
